Olympus - Series Two

 


Series Two of Olympus would be a direct continuation of Series One and as such nothing would really change and the series began in 2008.


The Return of Hal Adams

This story would see Hal returning to the Olympus team after defeating the Master with the Doctor, the story would see the team fighting humanoids resembling a blowfish, the Blowfish are polluting the waters of Cardiff to suit their needs and the Olympus try to stop them, to which they eventually do.


The Scream

This is essentially the SJA episode Mona Lisa’s Revenge however the painting is now Edvard Munch's
the scream and because this an Olympus episode it would kill anyone who gets in it’s way and this episode would have a lot more darker imagery.


Secrets of The Stars

Like with the scream, this would be pretty much the same episode but with darker imagery and stuff to suit Olympus.


Meat

This story would see the Olympus team dealing with a case involving a meat distribution firm in Cardiff which is using alien meat.


Don’t Sit Too Close To The Screen

This story involves a new children's television show that causes its viewer to become possessed. The aliens responsible harness electrical impulses in the viewers' brains, their aim being to eradicate humanity so that they can live uninterrupted in the electricity.



The Vault of Secrets

Again pretty much the same story though few things would change, such as darker imagery and themes


and stuff changed to make it fit with the Olympus team.


And that concludes Series Two of Olympus, the series received positive reactions overall but wasn’t as good as Series One, however in late 2008 it was announced that Series Three would be the final series of Olympus. The next season is Season 46 of Doctor Who, until then thank you for watching and goodbye.

Season 57 received mixed reactions, but on the whole it was a generally favourable season. Many enjoyed the new take on the show with a new feel and tone and bold storytelling ideas. Season 58 was teased in the trailer shown after “Joy To The World”. The Doctor Who Universe - 2023

  2023 was a mammoth year for Doctor Who, celebrating it's 60th Anniversary. It saw Doctors 1, 5, 6, 7, 12 and 14 return, the introduction of the 16th Doctor, the story of the First Doctor and Susan's first adventures and the return of three "Titanic" villains from three different decades: 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. Doctor Who: After Travels Series Three aired in 2023 and was the final season of the show, as usual the show aired on CBBC with 6 episodes. A Trouble of Miniscopes By Pete McTighe This episode sees the 14th Doctor and Daniel become trapped in a miniscope where they are thrown into Ancient Greece and defeat the legendary monsters and myths. Opposites Attract By Phil Ford This story sees the Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa encounter an evil version of their TARDIS team from an alternate universe. Season 57 - 2024

  After the 60th Anniversary celebrations in 2023, the BBC were set to make 2024 the beginning of a new era for Doctor Who. This began with the appointment of EastEnders Executive Producer - Chris Clenshaw, Clenshaw was announced in March 2022 as showrunner from 2024 onwards after Russell T Davies was brought in to handle the 60th celebrations. Clenshaw may have been the new showrunner, but chose to co-write episodes 1 and 8 with Pete McTighe and John Dorney. This was due to him planning to expand the Whoniverse as many of the shows ended from 2021-23, so Clenshaw wanted to focus more on running the franchise and not necessarily writing as many showrunners had done. Once again Bad Wolf Productions and Sony Pictures Television co-produced the show, giving the show a massive budget which was noticeable with the many VFX and scenes in the show.
